FROM LERICI TO PORTO VENERE

IL GOLFO DEI POETI

SOURCE OF INSPIRATION FOR MAJOR ARTIST

Between the two headlands (Lerici and Portovenere) you will find beaches, bays, the bluest sea on the coast, the typical “caugi” (narrow streets inside the towns) of Liguria and glimpses of beautiful nature. On the western shore of the Gulf of Poets you will find Portovenere, another beautiful village situated in front of the island of Palmaria and that with Tino and Tinetto (two small islands near Palmaria) are part of the “Regional Natural Park of Porto Venere.” At the end of Portovenere stands the magnificent St. Peter’s Church, a place of high aesthetic value and an extraordinary level of architectural history.
